1971!!! Beginning of construction of overshot waterwheel. The hub to the wheel was brought up from Hagetstown, New Jersey. The rock was cut to get the depth of the 26' wheel. Concrete was poured for the shaft supports and the hub was put into place in the fall of 1971.
